Benjamin Nasberg

CEO of Carbone Restaurant Group

About

Benjamin Nasberg is a Canadian entrepreneur, philanthropist, and CEO of Carbone Restaurant Group, where he has transformed a single restaurant into a thriving, multi-concept hospitality enterprise. Recognized at the Business Elite Awards as an exceptional entrepreneur under 40, Benjamin has built a career defined by innovation, leadership, and community impact. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Benjamin began working in restaurants at the age of 16. In 2011, when two friends approached him with an opportunity to join Carbone, he accepted the challenge and became Managing Partner. Under his leadership, Carbone expanded from one location to four in just four years, alongside the creation of a nightclub, a sports bar, and an events company. Today, as CEO, he continues to oversee Carbone’s strategic growth across North America while maintaining its core values of quality, connection, and creativity. Benjamin’s entrepreneurial spirit extends beyond hospitality. He co-founded the Restaurant Emergency Support Fund (RESF) in partnership with S.S.C.O.P.E. Inc. and local charities, providing tens of thousands of meals by purchasing food from restaurants to supply food banks. He also collaborated with Carbone and the Westland Foundation to launch the Westland-Carbone Scholarship, supporting students pursuing culinary arts at Red River College. Additionally, he has initiated sponsorships for KidSport Manitoba and Coats for Kids, helping children access sports opportunities and winter clothing. With a Bachelor of Science from the University of Manitoba and a background as valedictorian of Shaftesbury High School, Benjamin’s academic and athletic roots—honed through hockey, skateboarding, and snowboarding—reflect his lifelong dedication to teamwork, resilience, and growth. Through his leadership at Carbone and his philanthropic initiatives, Benjamin Nasberg continues to redefine what it means to be a purpose-driven entrepreneur: one who grows businesses, empowers communities, and inspires the next generation of innovators.
